Saxony-Anhalt, the restoration of historic sites in Wittenberg until the anniversary of "Luther 2017 - 500 years since the Reformation" help with a lot of money. The State indicated that funding would be made in the tens of millions for work on the palace, at several churches and at the Melanchthon House.
On Monday the country, the Lutheran town of Wittenberg, Luther Memorial Foundation, the Evangelical Church in Germany had (EKD) and the Union of Evangelical churches in the EKD (ICE) signed a framework agreement for the redevelopment of the Castle Church and the Castle. The EKD wants to buy the church and parts of the castle after the renovation.
