GOL has final OK for VARIG takeover

Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes has now by the Brazilian authorities to obtain final approval, the former VARIG "without conditions" to take over.
Both carriers will continue to operate separately, but the consolidation of investments and synergies in operations to reduce costs and maximize the total revenue. Numbers were not mentioned here.

2009 - Destination Amazonia Year

The member countries of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization to transform the South American jungle in a sustainable tourism destination. One of the steps in this direction is the preparation of the project "2009: Destination Amazonia Year". The coordinators of the organization stressed that connect this project to tourism in this region with a sustainable vision is clear.
